In your journey to success, these thoughts can get you far.

Quick thoughts to get you by in your journey to success.

We are accustomed to thinking that success and greatness are achieved through hard work. That is never wrong when success is defined as how you fare in a competition setup. A hard worker can be anyone among us. But hardworking is scarcely rewarding alone.

That’s why there should be hard thinking, too. Hard thinking, thinking that becomes a personal philosophy with not only escape routes but fighting styles, when combined with moderate working and sleepful nights can bring goodies into our lives.

Work must cease to be hard work to become a working work. When you can’t conquer, you find means to do that. By default we are all bound to fail. The way to change this is you and not anyone. You are the one to tweak original you into someone who is but to be successful. The inner invincibility beats the outer invincibility. Have it developing in you.

I don’t wish to see success coming during the first try. Success must remain harder to attain so that it can only remain success that is for those who deserve it. For success is proof that you really wanted it and it had to happen. It is also success again to have the best version of happiness in your hands that others don’t.

Success is not hardworking as they say. It may be the depth of the tweaking you do to what’s the default. In this world, we are sometimes taught to remain into what’s default to help build success for others.

Sometimes you need to retire out of the competition and simply beat them. In a big company, to succeed you are expected to have five PhDs, one or two achievements in other companies. Behind you, there must be hints of hard work as expected ahead. Does this all mean without having the brilliance and the chance to earn the PhDs you can not achieve?

Break out of thinking cycles to create a line that shoots up in a straight line that grows up. New forms of doing it can make doing the same thing a big difference. People who can’t qualify to be CEOs are people who own the production line, so they simply declared themselves CEOs out of what they came up with. They faced struggles but they couldn’t be brave enough to keep facing failure forever.

The world always existed before you were there. If you think you are born early. Well! Some thinking is always there earlier for you to only take it as your thinking. The world has been influenced in your absence. Where you find it disagreeing with you. Do fight it. Influence it. Don’t hesitate to influence the world. Because in your absence the worst can influence it and keep turning it into a bad place.

Don’t do a business. Do your business. Don’t plan. Build a vision. Don’t travel. Construct a roadmap. Don’t desire to be successful. Build your own definition of success and live in it. After that erase the definition when it’s limiting.

Any definition is good except when it’s in place to defeat the freedoms of other beings.

There may be things to avoid in life. You are taught about them in life, growing up, at school and at home. It’s fifty-fifty. But most of the time instead of being taught to avoid you are taught to hate.

Hate spreads over. Spills into other related things. With hate, there s no ‘do it your own way’ you just hate. With avoiding you can avoid it your own way. Some successful people in the world of tech including in the addicting gaming industry didn’t have to hate the screen as it is a time waster to be detested. They avoided what they avoided on the screen in their own ways and allowed their success to come through the same screen.

In other words, don’t know what to hate. Know what to avoid.

After all, it’s better to be a victim of falling in love than a victim of hate.  For a victim of hating something not really negative is always a victim.

So, don’t say “I really hate it” as it is invincible to say “I don’t like it very much” — because in the latter there is room to change.

Most people who get their freedom fail to utilise it. If you don’t have the freedom you are just unlucky. That’s why you must create that freedom. You must waste no time fighting for very unnecessary freedoms, just influence things to get it.

Allow ambition to be what you balance on not what you move by.

Intoxicating? This is how to deal with digital addiction

It’s hard to imagine how each day new things to drawn us into digital addiction on the tech front are showing up. The pressure is massive we can’t hold the line. The question is how exactly can each one of us deal with that problem. It can be prevented. It can be cured. When these two approached can’t work or can’t prove worthy, digital addiction can be turned into a profit. A serious profit.

Preventing digital addiction

Prevention is avoidance. Avoidance is abstinence. Abstinence is like conservatism. It can work as it cannot work always.

Prevention is having that smartphone and allow it to be there untouched, except when necessary. Through it, you can avoid other pieces of tech and be ok with it. You can gain your time and part of your time that others count on for their happiness.

For it to work you are expected to be aware that:

  • Addiction can be addiction on anything.
  • There is always the helpful side of anything “terribly bad”. You can create a social account and advertise through it. As someone creates one, borrow a loan to buy the services of the best photographer in the town who can help with good photos that can win personal likes and nothing else.
  • Where these is addiction there are promises of profits as well as those of big losses.
  • Of all the forms of addiction existing in this world, digital addiction is the most complex. We can go for three hours in the Candy Crushing Saga and think of anyone else on the same screen doing something else as addicted. The things is, there are millions of addiction on one screen or control. Some may be helpful. I heard that someone quitted smoking by switching to PlayStation.
  • There are many things you can do to be free while not preventing your presence in what digitally addicts. There is one thing you can do when you simply prevent yourself. Preventing.
  • Keep yourself an owner of budget tech since by your preventing much of you are an average user. This can help you in preventing unnecessary spending.

If you belong to the prevention faction you don’t pick up the digital side of things as a quick fix to the needs of your leisure time. “Oh, I have been studying hard. So, after exams, I will spend hours gaming.” This is not good for you.

Every form of addiction is bad no matter whether the narcotic be alcoholic or morphine or idealism

Curing digital addiction

Basing on my experience I give you my eight points.

  1. Just when you need to be there the most. Accepting defeat works. You must act as if you are accepting defeat. This goes for adult sides and addicting games or spaces online. Right in the middle of your writing an assignment you can find yourself stuck in one tab. Close it without hesitation as if you are accepting defeat. Walk away when you need to play the most. “I am leaving this game without a win. Without my satisfaction achieved.”
  2. Allow your digital world to be governed by your world of good habits. If doing you bed just as your feet land of the floor happens. Giving that social account only your Friday can be your thing to work on as it is necessary.
  3. Admitting that you are a victim is a fortfying ideal. You see, digital world bring the possibilities of anything through a simple screen, or a simple anything. And that is an immense opportunity. Victims of the digital world are increasingly out of their intention. Admitting that you are a victim instead of benefiary is enlightening.
  4. Addiction can be addiction on anything. Understanding that is key to unlocking much including your chances to see that you are drowning in digital addicted.
  5. You can create ghost accounts for advertising and make no friends online. When new things show up they create an illusion that old things no longer work and old friendship can’t save us. This is not good for us.
  6. The slower return to innocence.Try to get yourself into wasting time on less harmful content that on very harmful content. Once less harmful content becomes your thing. You then try to waste your time on productivity stuff than on less ahrmful content.
  7. Digital desertification can starve your addiction. Try to spend months or a year withouts gadgets you love the most. It can help. You can also delete accounts.
  8. Don’t try what you haven’t tried. I repeat! Don’t try what you haven’t tried!
  9. Devine speration is for those who can afford. If resources can allow, compartmentalisation of your digital resources is ideal. You can have a smartphone for social networking to play that part alone while another smartphone is for productive issues. A room can be for gaming and stuff and stuff. It can free up your tools from being both but to be either productive or otherwise.

Not curing and preventing digital addiction and simply benefit from it.

You can get paid through an addiction. That’s the good part. Find means to sell the products of your addiction. Artists are addicted to their art and they sell it. An addicted gamer is likely to be the one who can be the industry’s most credible commentary.

That smartphone or whatever is not going to cease to be your companion. You cannot change this fact.

All you can do is to stay in the positive. You can join social networks and platforms that can enhance you instead of ruining you. You can learn something when you answer a question on quora than when you post a nice selfie.

Download those productivity apps and give them personal use. Be emotionally attached because if you don’t you will still revert back to where you came from. Emotional attachment is why we are addicted to those sites and gadgets we are addicted to. Digital addiction is not bad because we can use it to achieve greater things in life.

If you believe in the digital world you must defend the fragment of the digital world you believe in and save your world through it. You are more efficient than one who is without. Be efficient.

Badly colonised. My opinion on Sub-Sahara Africa’s underdevelopment status.

sub-Saharans are a thousand times more Christiany than Europeans, someone said in the seminar room. That was as if he had gushed out an obscenity that deserved a death penalty. He meant unless some reformism or renaissance of some sort would happen immediately, Africa will remain underdeveloped. That happened in Europe, and it softened Christianity and virtually every component of the culture and other religions in Europe then to allow new forms of trading, learning and among other things. As ever, what introduced us to modern writing and learning was religion not philosophers, among other things, as was the case with Europe.

Therefore, justice is a simple argument that in the history of being colonised sub-Sahara Africa (and also South America) were colonised the worst. We had no writing technology to preserve some of our useful goodies from erasure. The Chinese had their Confucianism. And it was the only industrialisation that had put their occupiers ahead but without that she simply was the origin of the compass that explored the sees, among other things. Indians still remained Indians ever after. Now their family ties, a thing so strange in the West, are a tool in developing their nations.

The goodies that were lost.

To say the things in our pre-colonial age were useful is not good. But they were some positives and also things that were waiting for us to advance them. But we left them behind.

I envy that jacket from the barks of a Brachystegia tree, Nyamare, a female warrior in our family’s traditions wore. She led a district as a queen. She encouraged females in the offices of her power to marry late which she did as a means to negotiate her position in society.  Only her jacket had to be burned as it were one of the things the newly Christianised patriarchs in the family thought to be evil. Her teachings, as they were done through the word of mouth, simply found the next generation hardened enough not to pass them towards the next.

For it to be religion. Any religion must have an evil or a bad side to fight. From Buddhism into Islam and Christianity and from African traditional religions to those of the native Americans.

When we were colonised. We were made to believe that all in the traditional systems are all the evil side. But technically speaking we had not what we call “devil” before they came to us. Only we had bad omens avenging spirits and bad spirits.

That wedding in the Bible at Canah is the basis of the Western marriage system (tell me if I am misinformed). It had to be in the big book, the Bible, and the only for Christianity as a religion. If we had a writing technology before I would have met the way we currently do marriages in the Central Bantu and Southern Bantu Africa in a book “Ubuntu System” which doesn’t exist and none undertook to put it into a book that anyone can read. And if we needed salvation as the dark continent changing the way we marry and replace it with their own could have been the first thing the colonists could have done. But that simple marriage certificate could have rendered us, first-class citizens, without a hustle. It also could have been a waste of paper and resources through setting up marriage offices and reporting African marriages of the week in a European newspaper.

The thing is our marriage system was not bad. That’s why, as they are with their weaknesses, they are with their strengths in the fields those of a European style fails. Some other things we have known to be bad were not, and could be improved or even commercialised. But jackets were burned as a symbol of accepting Christ and leaving darkness behind. Jackets we could have reached to the world with and start a luxury fashion brand. Bring in some new materials and make the jackets competitive. Machinery is expensive. But they were times, as they are times and will be times we earn enough to afford it. And we can only buy things that can have us look big in society. A party bigger than none hosted.

We would also rather buy oil from the Ximenia Caffra seed in the pharmacies as an ointment to treat our swelling legs and not care about what it is: Simply allow it to be oil from an African plant but processed in Europe and shipped from Dubai. Because traditional medicines are regarded as traditional. It is also said that in the 1970s and 80s there was an influx of researchers from the West. This is when the Ximenia Caffra was canonised straight from the traditional evil league.

We are locked in lost territory. To have the best of what we can have “us before anything” and still deny “all that is us before anything”.

Two people were seated with me. I said to them that one day I will become a musician.  One laughed. Because that’s how to become a lost and underpaid person. I then faced the remaining one who seemed to understand. “I will gather up a band and be a Sungura musician, try to shorten the songs and change the actual form of Sungura and write in English.” The remaining one laughed and left the fireplace.

Sungura is a music genre filled with nothing but guitars. They are played in the 1.4, 1.5 styles. We hear stories of kids who grew up in farms where their parents worked as labourers and were almost homeless before they made it to the recording studios. And the guitars they played can be found in this decades-old advert (it’s fascinating, please watch).

They play the guitars well in a style the world has never seen. They are talented and unknown by the world. I reached the university. My writing skill can be better and I can sing, too. My bruises with many genres make me sing the Indian style in English but the traditional style in English or anything in anything. I can use my cheeks as an instrument to replace the traditional mbira, etc. What’s needed now is not to have that as pride to defend or compete through. What’s needed is cooperation. Because that pride will never mean anything alone. It is trash. My voice is inferior than of those who could have done such a service to such a genre. They didn’t. They picked hip-hop and other Western genres and they were with nothing in the final end to bring to the international market.

Our developers can’t develop platforms where music and anything can sell our way. Not through Paypal which isn’t available in the larger part of the continent. But through our mobile payment platforms. Our big banks and networks failed to unite and develop a platform that can work across the continent.

It may not be always as some cases of tribal slavery are known but we cooperated in many instances before colonisation. We had to be divided to be ruled. Really?

Back then in the pre-colonial ages. The conquered and the conquerers co-existed more times than we now do. In post-colonial times, genocides and civil wars took place at a pointless scale. Stereotypes developed were turned into true facts. Zimbabwe is where I come from. The Manyika people lighten -mb- syllables that the Zezurus and other Shona complex speakers. They pronounced November and remember well to win the white man’s favour. They worked in hotels all over.

Why are smaller businesses and hotels still using the same pattern, employing the Manyika people where an English speaker is needed? I am Manyika and I don’t like this. There are some still portrayed as lazy simply because they resisted the coloniser. The same Manyika makes an abusive husband. An Anglophone in Cameroon is power-hungry, and the whole ruling system had to develop a proofing to keep their power from taking over and killed an ideal federal republic. This is now a civil war. Bugandans are cultured and peace-loving than others in Uganda.

Educations systems need to evolve and help in battling such stereotypes. Censorship needs not to be one of protecting ruling regimes but fighting bad perceptions. You can not be discussing child marriages and the infringement of her rights in the parliament in the noon. Simply to allow a late-night show on one of the radios advocating for the most primitive woman submission.

Religion must cease to be taught in public schools unless secularly and scientifically taught. Having been raised in a Catholic family and observed happenings in other churches, I am so sure that kids are taught, much stuff every Sunday and at home. The same applies to Islam and the traditional systems.

Three hours a week at the Primary level can be thus free and be utilised for teaching something like “Industrial studies”. We need to change the way our kids learn to have them develop ‘an economic consciousness’ essential to the catching-up exercise.

Policing in subSahara must encourage home banking and investment at home. Governments need to stop treating the one that is green (farming) and the one that smokes (processing industry) or mining as the only industries that exist. A nation can even develop by selling software products. And the smaller the nation is, the less likely it needs too much diversification. Africa nations are small, population-wise. We all can’t be in Agriculture and change the continent.

The Nigerian film industry failed to develop anyways it was never considered by the participants and the policymakers as an industry.

Appreciating time you have, creating happiness & future of it.

Appreciating time you have, creating happiness & future of it.

Appreciating time you have.

Appreciating time you have is the doorway to appreciating the current happiness it gives and the future it’ll make for you.

13Jul2021, Tue. I got up minutes after 07:00 and headed outside where I basked in the sun’s warmth. Standing alone, my ears caught a sound that was not unique to it’s hearing history. It was a small bird that flies higher than its size only to have its wings take a serious beating at its body. It’s a statement that can be heard a few hundreds of metres away. It speaks its happiness alone, and it doesn’t take a single bird another partner to be in this kind of this element. None, therefore, can rob this bird’s happiness.

You may be beating yourself, appearing to cause pain to yourself and be happy about it. Happiness is putting in less or even the opposite of what it may take others to attain it and harvesting much of it.

When crossing a river of this life you don’t balance on rocks you didn’t put. Just know that you have the best time somewhere in the future to do the best and not messing around. The best you can do with time is the best way to appreciate your time.

It is the only resource you can turn into your happiness or sorrow.

Appreciating time is:

  • Being thankful and satified by the resource, but failing to allow your satisfaction to be the end of it all. Knowing that that you have it now is the beginning of having it now for the best of then. Satisfaction is the beginning of a feeling that you don’t need any other time to prove that time is special to you except that time you currently have.
  • Being conscious to the being fact. What they call life is you alive, therefore the purpose part of your life.
  • So, it’s putting devices and measures in place to have it belong to you and others who you care for and mean more in the attainment of your happiness then anything including your success. Happiness is the most important state of being fact and your physical ableness, and a happy mind is a maker of many positive things.
  • Knowing that you have it now, that it is there to pass just as you are there to make the best of it.

Knowing that you have the time now. And that it’s there to pass, and that you’re there to make the best of it is appreciating time

I have it (the time) now, that’s the first response a human can give to what’s current, to the time. The subconscious translate that to: (1) it is there to pass or (2) I exist to make the best of it.

Because time is there to pass, the reality is you don’t control it. Only you can have it. Time is there to pass and your human powers can not change that. Your capabilities are limited already. You limit yourself more if you cover your part, that is making the best of the time you have.

To repeat that again, you don’t control time and time alone makes any history. You’re there to carve a better history.

The detail emphasis perspective

This is my way of appreciating time. And I wanna share it here with you.

What’s that? Who is that? A human’s life is a timeline of asking questions and answering them

That she is your mother and that there is a connection you can’t visibly see and a feeling you have about it that you can’t run away from is your answer to the question, who is she? The way we treat situations, fellow humans, places, thoughts and ideas depends on our subconscious characterisation of the said situations, humans, etc.

I can use an example of a king who spent years fighting far from his home. His wife, through a messenger, lied to him that the child born months after his departure was not a boy. She had her reasons for doing such including the safety of the child.

Past his teenage, the boy left following his father. Since stars know no sunsets, it was his dream to bring him home. But in one of the days, the boy would meet his father who was just preparing to conquer the people who had treated the minor fine. The two, having volunteered to be in a match of two legends that would then be all to determine which side to be declared a winner, had to fight. When his father finally shouted his name, announcing the mightiness of his achievements as a conquerer in less than six words, he was delivering a death strike. The failure of the son to stop it was not because it was a big blow but it was because he had found his father. The first moment the two were together became their last. Since hiding identities were part and passel of the war tactics, someone’s father had introduced himself to his son in a battle.

Who is that? Although your physicality is a bigger part in making the answer, you don’t ask yourself this question physically and answer yourself in a flash to be the one freezing to let an enemy deliver a death strike when he suddenly ceases to be your enemy to only become your father. Build parts of the answer to this question from the physical side. Allow yourself to remember things or discover them through recording them also.

Knowing how much are you earning, in what pattern, and the way you spend, and the things you spend on, is the starting point of greater things in life. Even when a payslip is there to have you know that easily, a second layer of recording your finances to have some details you can use somewhere in the future is far invincible than not having it. It is through that layer that you can discover bad spending habits, etc.

The detail “Who is that?” or “What is that?” is for building “What can work” in your life.

The visible and invisible poverty perspective

Even among the richest among us. We can all be poor. An acquisition race inhibits us from knowing the meaningful things in life or even build achievements. We address the visible poverty and forget the invisible.

Real wealth goes first into addressing “how you feel” not “how you look”. Real wealth can be a few dollars. It is in the way you feel that you are happy or sad. Even when you look the “owner of the best car in your world”, you may feel sad.

Appreciating the time you have is allowing your feeling good to be addressed first by you and not by anyone else.

How to avoid toxic words and win a tension-free relationship

I have been with avoiding toxic words before they create tension for months before August 2021. Then I tuned in to the radio on the 18th of August 2021. There a presenter gave a situation and and question for listeners to answer. Your partner breaks your phone when it’s needed the most; when the biggest deal is about to happen through it. You are in any public space filled with professionals. You shout at him/her.

One stranger who is to your partner is of an opposite sex steps in and gives straight cash and your partner takes it. The stranger says clean words before departure and toss a business card to your partner: “In case it’s not enough I can help.”

All this appear as if the stranger has just said to your partner buy this noisemaker the lost toy. What can be your response?

  1. When things go wrong think first before you may correct them.

Between when things go wrong and when you intervene is usually a small window, and the window is small by default. Don’t change the size of that window. Be fast in making your mouth talk in the most smarter way you can achieve. Quickly think the things to say, the examples to pick and the “do you still remembers” to put in. After that think of how best to say them.

In the broken phone situation above, your partner did what was bad. You responded badly. Your partner then responded worst. If you allow it to keep going that way worst can make a nemesis.

Quickly getting to talk is not wrong, losing what to talk is. In his book Blink : The Power of Thinking Without Thinking  Gladwell argued, they are times when haste don’t make waste.

  1. We sometimes build a confrontational relationship to prove who is the boss. It’s wrong.

When none between the two is up to suggesting but charging things. A simple word can result into another which only turns into another. It’s all about proving who is the boss.

When one fails to win s/he waits for another cycle to start and make sure that s/he will be on top of the game when the climax hits in. It is hard to avoid toxic words in such a setup. Before you make it to your partner expressing your wish to end confrontational conservation and actions reverse first out of them.

  1. Find your way out not your way in.

That time you see yourself as already tension and as already causing one is key. Pull out when you think that you are marching into that territory. You are for each other, so let each other be for you. Normally is satisfies to be in the right side or to prove that your on the right. But when you are in love, you must be a loser for the sake of your winning relationship.

  1. Know your biggest source of conflict and discuss it.

Discuss it fearlessly alone or with a mediator involved. Just knowing that when things go this way, this is how fast I may need to go helps. Also have the courage to have yourself not your partner the causation of the conflict.

  1. Don’t revenge, solve.

This is a smarter people approach and we are all smart people. Smarter people don’t seek revenge, they seek a way forward. Smarter people see a crisis as an inspiration. To them vengeance doesn’t quite get to recover what’s lost. They recover what’s lost by creating new things, new bigger things.

  1. Talk when you are in good shape

Wait for your cooling down. Be in the best version of the plain you before you can talk when you need to talk or even settle things out. Healing what’s wounded takes sympathy. Sympathy is welcome to the best version of you than the bad version of you.

I believe a storm can not solve anything by remaining a storm. It must calm down into clear skies to be something that can mean repair than harm. Of course, beer is not a behaviour but you don’t wait for the time you are drunk. You can’t talk about it just when you are in anger about it.

  1. Know if it can make any difference to talk about it.

May be it is a reading room. Your partner walks in and talk while you are concentrating. His/her stay is just for a minute. Does rebuking him/her make any difference?

We are ready to talk even when it is not necessary and it is not good. There are expectations when they are not met, we are not somewhere we are in love and tolerating the missed expectations is not bad.

  1. Find ways to communicate your expectations.

May be your wish is to find the both of you home before 7pm and you know that’s possible. Communicating an expectation (the wish) is “I am passing through your workplace and I will fetch you home”. To communicate is not to do it the other way round. Because it is you finding ways to have your partner home at 7, you can always try another route as each day demands until your partner understands.

Sometimes it takes your transparency to communicate an expectation. In most of the time it takes just communicating an expectation and never breaking what you expect from your partner.

  1. Don’t hate yourself or feel hated

Because you can drown anyone into that hate and end reaping a magnified suffering. Probably a person in peace with himself or herself is a good source of words that sparkles.

Don’t look into yourself and see terror you can’t freeze, darkness and failure of the past and rejection.

7 ways of bringing in your failures to help in bringing your success

The impact a failure in your life can make is simply a result of how you take that failure as or how you take it in building the possibilities of your success in the future. You don’t build bridges without the roads behind them in mind, and such roads are the roads you constructed best as much as they are roads you failed.

  1. Have a detailed means of looking into your failure apart from the results of what you did.

You have failed to generate money.  You have tried and trying couldn’t produce any better results. The first thing you communicate to yourself is a failure, and you’re likely to use the generated money which is not a profit at all as a point to determine your failure.

It’s a good thing not to look at results alone but the vehicles you travelled through in you journey and all that got you into starting. Allow your failure to also become  (1) failure to have money (capital) result into more money and (2) failure to have what seemed to be your best idea result into what the best idea can result in.

  1. Judge your failure like you are a legal system

Act as if crime is a failure. Put those pieces of evidence of your failure in and fail to be your attorney and keep yourself ‘in trouble for a while’. Failures that are our habits may need correct judgement. Without a correct judgement, you can never take yourself as failing if a spending habit is failing you. By nature we humans defend habits. Learn to go by ‘something can be wrong’.

Sue yourself. Admit that you’re wrong, and you can never face imprisonment. The truth can allow you to have some better clarity. A good sniper does his dirt work in an elevated space where he can see all.

  1. Correctional routes

A deeper conversation with yourself with no wall of pride to build or pride to defend works. Be born again in each conversation. Try new tactics, and if you’re withholding too much try to lose a bit more. Keep your paths clean of bias. Try also to put someone who sees things the way you see them into the issue. Give that person a better view to see and help you in all of it.

You’re not a school of thought be flexible. It can help you to fit into what’s appropriate at the time.

Failures, if read them correctly, can help in character change. Since, however, they stand in the path towards attaining our desires we are inclined to hate them more and push them aside as we try to make a better future.

  1. Failures are obviously in the past, the fact that you didn’t drown through them is encouraging

Don’t be stuck because your life is not over yet. If you mourn failures they can bury you alive. Just move out of them to be in your future.

Quickly forgive your failures and yourself. Don’t forget them. You can always have a quick reference from them and it’s good.

Experience is not a type of play, It’s an outcome of plays behind, lost matches and won matches. It matters more than your love of winning.

  1. Failures are probably not just failures
  • They are failures, the final outcome that is not anticipated, or that is totally negative.
  • They contain hints key to achieving success, and all what might be needed for any kind of breakthrough.
  • They are obvious wins in them,  but not powerful enough to to beat failures in such failures.
  • Hints for breakthrough are not the breakthrough itself. They are just items waiting to be thrown in the next attempt at the rightful moments after a certain effort is already put in
  • A guide into what you need to do to increase your odds of winning
  1. There is nothing called an opportunity, and you fail not because it wasn’t there

If you believe that your past failures happened because you lacked the opportunity you’re only creating disasters for yourself. You’re the best opportunity best available to yourself. By just forgetting there’s opportunity in the vocabulary of success you’re opening vast chances for your breakthrough.

An opportunity is something not in your control. Forget it because you don’t need it as you’re the best moving opportunity available to you in each blink of an eye.

  1. Your failures and their failures are crucial in your complementary learning

Complementary learning in this case is some learning that enhances your formal studies (what’s taught or what you teach yourself) that are never adequate without a learning through being given questions to answer, creating questions to answer, answering questions and being answered when you ask.

My personal wish was to become a mobile app developer. I failed, I failed even to master any meaningful programming stuff. In the mix were things like lack of resources, no tech-acquainted people around me and Google’s Play Store was only open for the business of developers in two countries in my continent when I started, and it only meant that I could only upload the app without getting to monetise.

Complementary learning is when I chase after the knowledge to get my app to sell, and to be able one day to employ a capable team. It is chasing after the knowledge I didn’t have then as it is about extracting the “reasons why such a failure can happen”. Their failures and your failures are good watering holes to swell your current dreams with success.

In short, your failures in the past should have you learn more to add to the stuff you’re formally learning and come up with “the right knowledge of applying knowledge.”

Poor or not? The visible poverty and invisible poverty perspective 1/2

Invisble poverty and visible poverty *Canva image

Visible poverty.

They said, there is poverty and extreme poverty. There is also visible and invisible poverty; the very types of poverty we missed in our biased definitions. Visible and invisible poverty show up even among a group of people living above twenty dollars a day, in a better nation. Both ask the populace to address. The populace chooses what’s visible to make much of us including millionaires among us, poor.

Looking for the second article? Poor or not? The visible poverty and invisible poverty perspective. 2/2

You can’t help but take me as a fellow in destitution when I show up at the school you’re learning armed with the least essentials, dressed like the corner of the street is my home. I am poor in that case because I am badly dressed when I am supposed to be up on the same level as the other kids.

One can’t help but argue that I am poor when I show up as a student at the school he is learning when I am with the least essentials. I am obviously poor because I am badly dressed, or when my father shows up at the same schools looking less than a decent parent.

That is poverty because it is seen in the eyes, and it is nothing about the reasoning that let it be poverty to them, it is visible poverty. Sometimes that one can be a visible shortage of resources. But shortage is not unavailability as delay is not “never happening”.

Visible poverty is what peers see when it is on one and they put pressure on what they see, detest what they see. That pressure is an education, bad education, that seeps into the target to become one of the things that get the target to ignore either real wealth or real happiness.

I remember well a day I raised my hand to explain a point on an issue that was baffling the class thinking that the teacher would allow me to explain it in my seat.  When he said I should come forwards to explain it I ‘resisted’, “ I don’t have a thing to say. My apologies.”

He walked to my desk to deliver the punishment, the beating. That was better than me walking to the front of the room and explain my point, or worse write it on the chalkboard with one hand whilst another kept my shorts from falling.

The waist had just gone nuts thirty minutes ago and I was to remain seated until five PM, leave the class unnoticed and head to my room. A single pair of shorts were all that characterised my school uniform wardrobe in the first seven months as a first-year secondary school student.

Because we all want to look good that background cannot dilute the bad education in my future. I will still find myself determined to be at a certain place and stage where my dressing stands above all despite the costs. Because:

  • The level of visible poverty keeps going up
  • Once in my life (Feb-Sept 2009) it was a $10 school uniform we could quickly afford as a family
  • Ten years later (2019) it was attending someone’s wedding without a suit, at least a $75 suit. And buying it would have resulted in fifteen percent of my annual income decimated.
  • In the future it will not be owning a the best vehicle that will be my sense of pride. I will ride in a single car worth graduates and a lot of tuition fees to pay at a local university.

It’s a race. To look more and more good, not really to feel good. Yet happiness is in feeling good.

Addressing visible poverty and forgetting the invisible is curing a wound by not curing it. In fact, some notable success stories at a personal level may have resulted from being the opposite, invisible-centric.

Partly, it is being visible-centric that resulted in much of the traditionally disadvantaged parts of our global populace in being wasteful. We are wasteful in Africa, in the black ghettos in the USA and the Caribbean and in Asia, and also in traditionally well-to-do parts of us.

The lack of patience we have is shocking. Ours is a world where the lust to have our needs in our hands eats into our reasoning.

Why the race?

  • We want to look good. Far invincible than others.
  • Our world is one of competition not cooperation or both.
  • We are taught formally and informally to compete. It’s about who get better grades and higher numbers of anything at the moment.
  • It satifies to look good. But we don’t rest once we look good. On that department of looking good that where we want things to be better and better at a cost of other meaningful things in our lives, that we simply allow to be worse and worse.
  • We are in a world where the lust to have our needs in our hands eat our reasoning away.

The seeing minds detail emphasis perspective

The seeing minds’ detail emphasis perspective.

Capture the detail.

Detail emphasis perspective>> To prosper a company must have all the information or detail about itself, its past, future and present, and the detail about all that surrounds it including case studies from the outside, the market structure and anything that impacts the production. You are not a company but you can have the means to capture a better detail about yourself. The detail is better if unbiased and present in infinity quantity.

Don’t be a stranger to yourself. Admit what you are to correct it from that point. It must not take anyone to point what you are not at par. Therefore:

  1. Before you can spend money know how much you’re earning a month, a year, a decade and in what pattern. Because this is essential in building self-made success and success involving money.
  2. Take records on your life as a company efficiently run. Record finances, and it’s a good thing to do if you want to give a smartphone in your palms a more productive stuff. You don’t have to leave it to people who are well-to-do to exercise it.
  3. Your journal and diary, or whatever book of reference  you might wanna come up with and give it a strange name like SubjectMe, must cease to be an emotional ground and a territory for building abstract perspectives like this one and theories that can work in your life or career.

The three points above are in the context of one attempting to achieve financial success. But you can try the same in any aspect of life you may wish to be great in. You can also build your own life principles. The dos and the don’ts. Break out of an existing thinking cycle when you do so.

Admitting what you are can help you to record and interpret an unbiased you. And probably there is more detail apart from what journal can capture, you need it well preserved because our minds are good at forgetting. The detail a life of an achiever requires before it becomes a life of achievements is the detail about what’s going on in it. That detail is input (to your brains), and input is required for a certain output to be achieved.

Even without documenting it, the detail you can have about you (who is that?) is for building “what can work” for you. With all your detail at your exposure, you now have to be a person who prefers to throw to the mind questions as input to get an output that is an answer, not a question or an end to itself.

Here is the logic that doesn’t get stuck, and it answers a situation:

WHY AM I HERE?

NOT

I AM HERE NOW

The thing is our minds are powerful processors. It is a good thing to ask them “Why the apple has fallen down instead of up” than to tell them “The apple has fallen down now.” Grammar rules had it that falling is just for down not for up. A good question to the mind goes against the rules and it can make a Newton out of an average or the worst scholar.

By default, we are always what we are in everything we face, and default every one of us is “I am here now.” Greater things in life, however, requires that tweak what’s default and put in our own. Tweaking puts our processors into a new scene to process stuff in.

A processor processes an input, an input to a powerful processor must be hefty if what’s desired is a meaningful output. Giving a $300,000 stone crushing unit a tiny pebble is just as telling the mind “I am here now” and expecting loads of stone quarry.

The thing is, your presence is not a mistake except when you take it as a mistake. Your presence is already an invitation to the right course of action. You don’t take it seriously, you’re only fighting yourself. Grease your mind and your thinking with a now-and-then contemplative mood that begins by asking unorthodox questions that need urgent and no-compromise answers. A question is the beginning of greater things in life, and it can help you to admit that you’re not there yet and it works with you in creating possibilities of being there.

In one blog post here learning is defined as (1) being taught or teaching yourself and (2) being answered or answering yourself, or asking yourself or being asked questions to answer, or being answered or answering yourself before you even get to know that the question you are answering or you are being answered is even a question. We are all people with Masters as far learning by being taught or teaching ourselves is concerned, but what we all are need an extra higher ground for clarity.

Higher ground for clarity!

A sniper picks a higher ground, questions the wind speed on how it will affect his bullet, questions his caummo; make the adjustments necessary to the current higher ground. Yet he’s supposed to boast to himself “I am going to take a good shot”. He only asks himself: How to take a good shot?

He is a man who received any training imaginable to be the best sniper. When he’s on that higher ground he can’t whisper, “I am good at this, each second ticking.” Appropriate is a question.

HOW TO BE GOOD AT THIS?

He is confident about what he learned in training but he must invite some learning through questions and answering questions appropriate to take a good shot. Sometimes he allows the detail about his previous ground to have some voice in answering the questions.

Have your Game-Changing Origins and allow it to shape the questions you ask yourself and the detail you build.

My name is Meinrad, I was born in 1995, My Game-Changing Origins includes that hour I had in Mr Pee-Price’s class. Pee Price introduced me, and the whole class, of course, to the Internet, just before I had made my first phone call, or before I had made any bruises with the digital world; his presentation was on search engines, their work, the Boolean logic and the bad side of the internet to avoid. What followed were two years ahead of understanding the internet, its structure and attempting to master one or two Web-Programming languages, and of falling in love with game development, all hoping to end up a self-employed game developer.

I was the first in the village to reach that far with the internet outside WhatsApp and Facebook, and I am still the first, and among the first in the whole district. That does have to mean something in my life.

A game-changing origin can be the pluses to a start that are too faint and too early in your lifetime. It must be so so that you don’t take it seriously. It is things that you have been through or just fascinating hints in your background. Like (when you want doubts about making a musician out of yourself) that church choir, among other things, you were part of as you were concluding your teenage that couldn’t sing well and your attempt at playing one or two instruments that were commendable.

It is things you have others, and others don’t have. Why things you have others don’t? Because you must be blind to those things that you don’t have to find the power to utilise what you have and fly high. Normally we are accustomed to thinking that the bigger we have the better we can achieve. We lament over the educations we didn’t have, the capital we don’t have and the connections we don’t have. Allowing the heart to beat in the game-changing origins is necessary when trying to break out of a thinking cycle.

I am the fifth in my village to reach university. That’s a plus. But not having a nice classic suit in my wardrobe is what I am likely to be led astray with and go on to address when my annual earnings are not over $500.

But when I am blind to what I don’t have I find myself writing to through that $120 second-hand laptop I managed to buy out of $370 I earned in 2020 instead of wearing a decent $50 suit every Sunday. And when I write to you I earn. And, finally, when $2000 is all per month I must be blind to what I don’t have just to advance my vision of owning the village’s first trademark(s).

Be blind to what you don’t have. In your backdrop, there are a lot of game-changing origins.

Vision: You must build a vision not plans

A personal vision

Vision: Build a personal vision not plans

At a personal level, a vision is a purpose that is not weakly defined all to create an individual who goes against all odds in proving his/her existence. People who build a vision in their lives believe that life is tenure and we don’t have to change that. To them, their lives must reach a certain value unimaginable before departure.

What do you want to accomplish in your life, your life being a mission?

A vision sticks inside as a foundation to a mindset and as an outline of a dream or many other dreams. A personal vision is how things are done by that exact person.

You can build a vision through:

  1. Your game changing origin and sticking to it. The falling apple was Newton’s game changing origin. He didn’t eat it. He started to work tirelessly on what would become gravity as we know it today, and back in his time his explanation of reality was hated as sorcery.
  1. Asking questions or the logic “Why am I here?” instead of “I am here now!” What’s lacking discover, don’t see it. A vision sort of proves wrong the existing achievements and thinking. A vision is millions of questions answered.
  1. Giving yourself some clarity in yourself and also helping your mind by recording things happening and lessons or theories you are building. If you can read books written by others why can’t you have yours? Don’t be right always when you reach to yourself after anything or before anything. If you don’t question your habits, defend them, they remain extremely wrong.

Apparently when you are always right everything is wrong.

  1. Being alone in building it. If you can’t be alone be with people who can help you to carve up your vision. Carving it up is one thing, creating is another and it’s for you. Don’t pollute it by influences or resistance. The greater the vision the more likely it is to be incompatible with the existing greatest minds of the time around you. If it means to be alone, be ready to accept it.
  1. Since a vision can be something out of nothing you are required to be good at harnessing the few into attaining big results. A vision is an exaggeration of an actual dream but never dystopian. It is reasoning that difficult isn’t impossible.

How to address a vision and get things right

Dreaming is for the dark times. When the sun shows up it ceases to be dreaming time.  The sunshine during the day may not be pleasant but visionaries keep going. Abstract things are planned in the dark, executed when the slightest hint of light shows up.

What you can do in your wake time is a big difference.

Discipline. The SubjectME’s definition is different. Discipline is doing the right things at the right time or doing the right things the wrongs way.  You will need that type of discipline if your vision is different.

Bring that intensity into the game. Don’t be faint at it until you can’t see the paper you are writing the story of your life on. A vision is what you have to be, not what they expect you to become. Have none involved in tinkering it. You surely can attain it. Once you are done building your vision don’t allow those who are not compatible with it in.

Recommended:

Don’t plan. Build a vision instead

Don’t plan. Build a vision instead you will build a future instead of simply having it. The thing with a vision at a personal level that lacks the kind of planning discussed here is it ignores satisfaction in the now to bring infinity satisfaction in the future.

Through a vision suffering endured in the path to attain pays better than suffering endured in accomplishing a thousand plans. A vision seeks to create any difference out of where impossible. A plan simply is a routine, and it may be doing the same thing the same way over and over.

Don’t plan. Build a vision. When things are impossible, a vision, if perfectly built, is a machine in creating its own possibilities. A plan looks for what’s possible and goes for it. A plan may be doing the same thing the same way over and over.

What is a vision and how it is different from a plan? A vision is a roadmap. It doesn’t have to allow its maker to get stuck in traffic. A plan is a single highway with no ways or means to reverse and pick up other routes. A vision is a detail of what you would become before you could become it. Building a vision is building that detail. Planning means you have an intention to act. Building a vision means you have an intention to attend, be attend and take charge. A plan stays behind as you move into acting. A vision lives with you and you live in it. A plan is a command behind. You cannot remake it.

Poor or not: The visible poverty and invisible poverty perspective. 2/2.

Invisble poverty and visible poverty *Canva image

Invisible poverty

Defining invisible poverty out of the first question: How poor is my world not how poor am I or how poor do I look.

The detail-emphasis approach/perspective brings in the “Why am I here logic” and it seems a question is a better starting point to handling anything happening in life than simply telling yourself “I am here now”. Now there are two questions on the same issue, poverty, and at the same individual level. Whether you like it or not you have to answer one among the two questions or both. Answering what can give a life a purpose and meaningful question (How poor is my world?) is ideal.

Looking for the first article? Poor or not? The visible poverty and invisible poverty perspective. 1/2

Answering the first question allows you to include yourself. You can not only become an individual in a lone world but part of a big world and room. The first question is:

How poor is the world (or that little room I am in)?

It’s very poor, even among the places it looks so damn rich. To admit that this world is very poor even in places and occasions it looks so rich, you are not given an option to see poverty. You simply feel it when there is any need or when you allow yourself to feel it only to be able to answer the first question. If we choose not to feel it we can’t get to see it through our eyes, since it’s invisible. Only to be addressing visible poverty (How poor am I?) and giving no answers to the first question.

Visible poverty gives you a choice to feel and also to see it, and even to think about it. So that it can be clearly visible to you and lure you to addressing it alone. And one day you will be “poor” for not having that fancy car. The race is always on.

Poverty or the other side of it were badly defined long ago and we can’t change it.

Those living under a dollar a day are poor, extremely poor. Thousands, millions and billions. We believe that the definition of poverty is all about how much you can buy or not buy. The definition is good but there is a fault it creates in us, and it is expected that someone who grew up in a disadvantaged position, a poor location in Africa, the city locations where disadvantaged populations and the traditionally left behind live, becomes suddenly the society’s noteworthy income-wise. Diamonds are bought countless times, instead of, for example, building a community library in that location or establishing a substantial business or even keeping the wealth in his hands. Yeah, it may be better for your future to keep it to yourself than to plunder it.

We can see that your wedding ring is the cheapest. That you don’t have a private jet or you have it. But what we can’t see is I am the fifth person to reach the university in my village since the beginning of college times in my country. I can’t even see it either because I just feel it to be able to buy a fifty-dollar shoe instead of a much expensive one and utilise the remainder of what I possess to create bigger chances for my success or the success of others in my village, nation or world.

It is focusing on invisible poverty alone and, therefore, addressing the first question that can have some of us win a financial journey starting from the very little despite myths about wealth creation.

The biased human logic

Knowing what to address between visible and invisible poverty is great. It is the best thing to do in wealth creation as a process. Human logic, however, is biased. For example, it takes what’s bad as what bad people do instead of what people do and do it through very bad means, and therefore bad is considered as lack of purity to the would instead of lack of purity to the mind which drives anything. As it is biased. Poverty automatically becomes what’s visible instead of visible.

When we can’t see a certain thing it doesn’t mean that thing doesn’t matter. We need to capture what can only be felt and visualise what we can do about it. We may need to stop seeing things to discover bigger things in life. It is when we bring in that sense of discovery that we can discover what we are capable of with what we are and what we have not what we can be capable of once we come to possess the things we currently don’t.

We are not invited to live our lives; simply, we are entitled to live them; and if one of us can’t do that properly no one will.

Because of our biased logic mindful to only visible poverty instead of invisible poverty we:
